Will Bayley has a thorough knowledge of the psychology and physiology that underpins close quarter fighting. Our Adrenalised Training and Fight Classes are there to introduce you to what Sun Tzu called the Inner Opponent. You’ll learn about your adrenal system and how it helps and hinders you. You’ll learn effective conflict resolution skills. You’ll also learn about how to get hands on and throw punches under pressure. It’s a class for people with a little confidence and experience – you should be fine to try it out after a few months regular Krav Maga lessons and with an OK from your instructor.
Delivered by Lead Instructor Will Bayley, these sessions will push you. But it’s our job to make sure you get the best from them without suffering injury. They are not full contact fighting sessions – rather they are controlled, carefully thought out drills to bring you face to face with your stress response and teach you the dynamics of interpersonal conflict, violent or otherwise. Will Bayley has years of experience delivering this type of training, and has studied the effects of adrenal stress on conflict extensively. You can expect to learn good sparring skills, coupled with a host of mental skills that will give you back control in the worst of situations. As anyone who has experienced violence will tell you – all the training in the world won’t help you if you don’t control your adrenal stress. We aim to teach you that control, so that your skills will be there when you need them.
These classes run after our regular Combatives and Self Defence Classes, and are open only to students with 2-3 month’s experience.
Please bring the following to your first class:
Training kit – shorts/training bottoms and T shirt
Trainers
2 X 500 ml bottles of fluid
Protective equipment if owned – 16oz boxing gloves and a gumshield.
Experienced Kravists only. (2-3 months training and an OK from your instructor).
Trigger Alert – Replicates violence and street crime, may feature some adult themes & scenarios, including aggressive, abusive language and behaviours.
